At starting a small erection, the temple of Salasar Balaji is now famous with name of Shakti Sthal and Swayambhu by devotion, faith, miracles and wish fulfilments of the followers.
It is claims the site of Salasar Balaji was searched by Ginthala Jat from Asota a small village of Nagaur district in Rajasthan. One day wonder happened on Shraavana shukla Navami samvat 1811 (1754 AD). A Ginthala Jat’ plough suddenly was strike by stony thing during ploughing his field and a resonating sound was generated. He dug up the earth of that location and got an idol enclosed with soil. Very soon Ginthala’s wife came there with his lunch. The farmers told his wife about finding of Balaji statue and show her. She removed dirt from statue. It was the idol of Balaji. They bowed their heads in front of statue and paid their homage to Balaji. The news of Balaji statue instantly spread among Asota villagers and later to the Thakur of Asota. Same night Balaji emerged Thakur’s dream and asked him to take the idol to Salasar in the Churu district. At same night a follower of lord Hanuman, Mohandas Maharaj from Salasar also saw Balaji in his dream too. Balaji acknowledge him about the statue of Asota. He instantly sent a message to the Thakur of Asota. The thakur was stunned to get that Mohandas knew even minor details while not coming back to Asota. For sure it had been thanks to the divine powers of Balaji. The idol was sent to Salasar and was consecrated at the place presently recognized as Salasar Balaji Dham. A slightly customised version to an equivalent story indicates that upon seeing the dream of look of the Hanuman, the Thakur of that village ordered the idol to be shifted to Salasar and placed at the temple for the spiritual rituals to be performed. He brought 2 bulls, placed the idol on its cart and left them within the open courts basic cognitive process to construct the temple at the place wherever the bulls would stop. The place wherever the bulls stopped was given this name of Salasar. several of the villagers, shopkeepers and traders shifted their living to Salasar and so a brand new village was formed.
The vital divinity of the temple is Hanuman who gets worship of a large number of followers here alongside different divinities. The statue of Balaji here is unique in relation to all different icons of Hanuman. Dissimilar to different projections and idols of Hanuman, Salasar Balaji have round face with mustache and facial hair making it the most one of a kind symbol among alternate symbols of Hanuman everywhere throughout the world. It is accepted that drinking water of the wells of the Salasar is because of the blessings of the Balaji.
